Grossenbacher Fun Run "Patch" Harness

We think this could be the only 'Velcro name patch' harness available in Australia that does not have a restrictive strap across the front of the chest and shoulders! The name patches sit just over the top of the shoulders but but there is no compression action from the straps.

The Grossenbacher Fun Run "Patch" harness offers full freedom of movement for all activities. Due to the ergonomic design, the shoulder and elbow joints are unrestricted and the dog can move freely. Grossenbacher Fun Run Patch harnesses are made from one piece of lightweight fabric, so there are no seams. Grossenbacher uses high-quality, stable buckles that can withstand heavy loads.

A Velcro name patch can also be attached to this harness. THE HARNESS DOES NOT COME WITH A NAME PATCH INCLUDED. Patches shown in photo gallery are inspiration only.
For easy reference the sizes of the Velcro patch for each harness size is:
4XS: 10 x 3cm; 3XS: 12 x 3cm; XXS: 14 x 3.5cm; XS: 14 x 3.8cm; S: 14 x 4cm; M: 14 x 4cm; L: TBC.
(Ezydog custom Velcro patches are S: 10 x 3cm; M: 13 x 4cm; L: 15.5 x 5cm; patches are also available on Etsy and many other places online.)

The Patch harness has two d-rings. For everyday use, it is recommended to attached the leash only to the back ring. If there is any tension on the leash and on the harness, this is distributed optimally on the dog's body when using the back ring. The sensitive neck area remains free and the spine feels no pressure.

If you would like to do close heel work or training, or you need your dog to be closer to you, using a double-ended lead the two lead clips can be attached one to the first ring (situated near the back of the neck) and one to the back ring.

We recommend using the ring at the back of the neck ONLY for training purposes or on a temporary basis. This is because if there is tension only on this ring at the back of the neck, the harness is potentially pulled upwards on the neck and could put pressure on the dog's trachea and other delicate areas.

Non-adjustable neck. Slides on easily over the head due do there being no buckles or sliders on the straps.

There is a handle on the back* (oriented front to back) so you can briefly grab it to hold onto your dog. (*Sizes 3XS and below have no handle.)

These harnesses run quite large so please consult the size chart; don't simply get a size small because that's what size usually fits your dog in other gear.

NB. Grossenbacher harnesses are sized by breed and weight, not by girth measurement. The best way to get the correct size for your dog is to come into the fitting studio and try them on. If you order online you may need to exchange if the first size you purchase isn't quite right.

Backorders / Custom Orders
Backorders are accepted on non-limited edition colour combos (base fabric & edge trim).
The wait for backorders and custom orders can be up to 3 or sometimes even 4 months.
Custom orders cannot be returned/exchanged (except as per Australian Consumer Law). Please ensure you know what size will fit by coming into the fitting studio and trying them on your dog if possible, so you are not disappointed when a custom order can't be exchanged.
When placing an order for a 'Custom' harness, please include your requested base fabric  colour and the edge trim colour in the order notes. We will then check and confirm your order and advise the ETA.
The standard sizes we offer in the Fun Run Patch harness are 3XS up to M. Other sizes (10XS to 3XL) can be ordered on request - please contact us if you would like to order a size that is not in the drop down list. Sometimes we may have sizes outside 3XS-M in stock. These are shown in the drop down list on this page. If in stock the variant chosen will say "Add to Cart".

NB. Online orders that include backorders and/or custom orders are shipped when all items included your purchase are available to be shipped together. If you would like an in stock item to be shipped sooner, please place separate orders.
